The Sydney International Boat Show marked the first time we had worked in the Sydney Exhibition Centre's temporary structure.
The nature of the building proved challenging to work with. It presented us with several hurdles to jump to make the rigging and lighting for our clients possible.
The venue, being a temporary structure does not support large weights to be dropped from any point. Therefore, to hang anthing over a stand, a truss structure must be erected to support any overhead lighting or signage. Not only do we have to build structures to rig from, we also had to design the truss around the internal airconditioning vents that run in the entire ceiling of the centre.
See a few images below of how we managed to overcome the challenges presented to us by the building.
